Middlesbrough Community Mosaic - A collaborative art project tackling isolation and improving pride of place in Middlesbrough
The donut woven cape - A collaborative art project for Boro Doughnut, with a focus on creating sustainable fashion from existing materials. We took part with along with 7 other groups.
Post-it note gallery - We encourage many people to create a miniature artwork, where everyone's art is displayed. The small size of the post-it note made a quick and easy task. These artworks are now activating empty windows in Hill Street Centre.
Family creative sessions - Bringing parents/carers and children together to be creative.
- Family rainbow canvas - We taught children about textures, patterns and colours in a 3D collaborative art piece; a good example of everyone feeling included, as everyone’s piece was needed.
- Alley greening and artwork - We work with local residents to tidy up alleys and co-design artwork to beautify the space, animating neglected spots and galvanising community ownership.
- Happiness and creativity sessions - Helping people heal using the science of happiness and calm crafting techniques, for example: mindful doodling. Worked with Middlesbrough College and The Hope Foundation.
Come Together Upcycling sessions - Using recycled materials for another purpose for example takeaway containers into woven baskets, painting a fabric bag or painting a lantern.
